Artist’s background
Originally from Todmorden, West Yorkshire, Fiona spent 30-years living and working in Zimbabwe as a scientist, 20-years of which was spent in conservation. During that time her greatest passion was walking in nature and taking photographs in the African bush. Using these photos as inspiration, she became an extremely popular artist in the southern African region and her paintings from solo and group exhibitions have been sold all over the world.
She has now returned to live in Kirkcudbright and whilst she continues to draw from her catalogue of African wildlife photographs, she has now expanded her palate and gallery of subjects to include a wide range of UK wildlife and domestic species.
