Four little piggies

This original pastel painting captures four Kunekune piglets huddled together in the straw, their comically varied markings and squashed pink snouts rendered with warmth and humour. Kunekune pigs, originally from New Zealand, have become increasingly popular on small farms and smallholdings in Britain, prized for their docile temperament and manageable size. The painting revels in the piglets' irresistible charm — all snuffling noses, floppy ears and the contented closeness of a litter at rest.
