Kingfisher

Few sights in the British countryside stop you in your tracks quite like a kingfisher. A flash of electric blue and burnished orange along a riverbank, gone almost before you've registered it was there.

In this pastel painting, Fiona captures a rare moment of stillness — the kingfisher perched and watchful on a lichen-covered branch, every iridescent feather carefully observed against a soft, luminous green background.
